Working Online
Being in your own space and not needing to travel can help sessions feel more manageable, relaxed, and engaging. We can always explore what would help you feel comfortable working in this way if needed.
Please find a quiet and private space for sessions, I will do the same. This could be a room away from others, a space without distractions like phones, pets or television, or even your car if that’s what works best for you.
Counselling is a one-to-one space, so generally, sessions won’t take place if others are present. If noise, interruptions, or other issues arise, we can pause and rearrange as needed.
I also ask that clients are clear and present during sessions. If substance use is part of how you cope, we can discuss how to work with that safely.
When joining a session:
-Click the Zoom link in your email,
-Choose to open in browser or app,
-Make sure your camera and mic are connected and on,
-Once in the waiting room, I’ll admit you when it’s time for the session,
-You can “pin” my video by clicking on it if that helps keep focus,
-After the session, click “Leave” to exit.
